Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA)
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 places a duty on local authorities to develop Local Housing Strategies (LHS), informed by an assessment of housing need in their area.
The primary purpose of this study is to provide the evidence base to inform the LHS and developing planning framework, consequently it will in part inform the strategic allocation of land designated for housing at the Local Development and Strategic Development Plan level.
The Scottish Government have approved the Angus HNDA as 'Robust and Credible', providing a high quality and reliable assessment of present and future housing need and demand across Angus.
