The Laundry House

This was the first overall winner of the Angus Design Awards. Architects, Colin Smith and Judith Wilson, submitted the nomination. They were both the client and designer of the building. The contractor was local company R S Hill, of Douglastown near Forfar. This saw the transformation of a 19th Century castle laundry into a family home.
The choice was made after deliberation of over 40 entries that were received and which covered a wide array of submission types ranging from new build and restoration up to major housing schemes.
