Logie Mill was the overall winner of the award in 2004. The design was by architect, Mark Walker and the main contractor was James Bruce and Son, Brechin (now Pert-Bruce Construction Ltd of Montrose following a merger with W W Pert Construction Ltd).
The extension to the building was recognised as both an ingenious and creative solution, dealing with the potential risk of flooding from the North Esk.
The extension, built above the former Miller's House, used a consistency of materials and allowed natural light to fill the upper floor.
The new top floor provides spectacular views over the local countryside and down the North Esk.
