Angus Council's Arbroath Town Centre Traffic Management Review was presented to the Infrastructure Services Committee on 11 October 2011. Its aim was to assess the existing access arrangements to the High Street, to consider parking arrangements in the town centre and to assess the suitability of existing pedestrian, cycle and public transport infrastructure. The Committee authorised the Head of Roads and Director of Neighbourhood Services to prepare outline proposals to enhance the East Grimsby/Burnside Drive junction, the aim of which would be to create a gateway effect that would make this access to the town centre more apparent to visitors.
Following this authorisation the Head of Roads received a request to investigate the possibility of making East Grimsby and Ladybridge one-way for eastbound traffic, therefore if you have an opinion on this proposal Angus Council would like to hear from you.
