MINUTE of MEETING of ANGUS COUNCIL held in the Town and County Hall, Forfar on Friday 26 May 1995 at 9.00 am.
Present: Councillors Mrs FRANCES E DUNCAN, BRIAN M C MILNE, RICHARD B SPEIRS, ALEX SHAND, IAN J ANGUS, JOHN C GIBB, Mrs GLENNIS MIDDLETON, WILLIAM MIDDLETON, IAN HUDGHTON, WILLIAM G CROWE, Mrs KATHLEEN M RITCHIE, WILLIAM DOIG, IAN MacKINTOSH, STEWART N MOWATT, THOMAS YOUNG, WALLIE LEASK and ROBERT J MURRAY.

1. EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS
The Council resolved that the public and press be excluded during consideration of the item recorded at Article 2 below to avoid disclosure of information which was exempt in terms of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, Paragraph 1.
2. POST OF DIRECTOR OF LAW AND ADMINISTRATION
With reference to Article 2 (Angus Council, 16 May 1995) the Council interviewed five candidates who had applied for the post of Director of Law and Administration.
Following discussion it was agreed that Miss Catherine A Coull, at present Depute Director of Law and Administration, Tayside Regional Council, be appointed to the post.
