MINUTE of MEETING of ANGUS COUNCIL held in the Town and County Hall, Forfar on Tuesday, 27 June 1995 at 1.30 p.m.
Present: Councillors BRIAN M C MILNE, ALEX W SHAND, HELEN ANGUS, Mrs SHEENA M WELSH, IAN J ANGUS, Mrs RENATE LAMONT, JOHN C GIBB, Mrs GLENNIS MIDDLETON, WILLIAM MIDDLETON, IAN HUDGHTON, WILLIAM G CROWE, SANDY WEST, GEORGE NORRIE, Mrs KATHLEEN M RITCHIE, WILLIAM DOIG, IAN MacKINTOSH, STEWART N MOWATT, GEORGE ALLAN and THOMAS YOUNG.

1. EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS
The Council resolved that the public and press be excluded during consideration of the item recorded at Article 2 below to avoid disclosure of information which was exempt in terms of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, Paragraph 1.
2. POST OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
With reference to Article 2 (Interim Executive Committee, 14 June 1995) the Council interviewed three candidates who had applied for the post of Economic Development Manager.
Following discussion, it was agreed that Mr David Valentine, at present Assistant Director of Planning (Economic Development), Angus District Council, be appointed to the post.
