Arbroath Fire Station

The current fire station opened in 1959 and replaced the previous one located at Gravesend. It is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by full-time and retained fire crews. A new training block has recently been built which allows training in a number of scenarios and working at height. In addition to responding to emergencies fire-fighters are also involved in community safety activities primarily aimed at preventing deaths and injuries. The geographical area served is both urban and rural, being the town of Arbroath and surrounding farming area and small villages.

Here is an opportunity for young budding firefighters to see around a working fire station, see up close the fire engines and ask questions to those who respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Fire personnel will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and give fire safety advice.
