Muirhead, Birkhill & Liff Community Council
A request has been received from 20 electors in the Muirhead, Birkhill & Liff Community Council area to establish a community council under Section 52 (7) Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and the arrangements for the conduct of the poll are noted below.

Nominations
If you wish to stand for election as a member of Muirhead, Birkhill & Liff Community Council you must:-
- Be 16 years of age or over;
- Reside in the community council area; and
- Be named on the Electoral Register for the area
A nomination paper must be completed and lodged by prospective candidates with the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections), Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar not later than 4.00 pm on Tuesday 7 December 2010.

All candidates must submit a personal statement of not more than 100 words on the form provided along with their nomination paper in support of their candidacy. A nomination paper will not be considered valid until such time as a personal statement has been received.
Candidates are requested to submit their personal statements, preferably with their nomination paper, but in any event no later than 4.00pm on Tuesday 7 December 2010.
