Nominations
If you wish to stand for election as a member of your local Community Council you must:-
- Be 16 years of age or over;
- Reside in the community council area for which you are nominated; and
- Be named on the Electoral Register for the area for which you are nominated
A nomination paper must be completed and lodged by prospective candidates with the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections), Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar not later than 4.00 pm on Monday 27 September 2010.

All candidates must submit a personal statement of not more than 100 words on the form provided along with their nomination paper in support of their candidacy. A nomination paper will not be considered valid until such time as a personal statement has been received. Candidates are requested to submit their personal statements, preferably with their nomination paper, but in any event no later than 4.00pm on Monday 27 September 2010.
