Register To Vote

If after the close of nominations, an election requires to be held in any Community Council area you must be on the Community Council Electoral Register in order to vote.

If you are over 18 and have not already registered to vote with the Electoral Registration Officer and you wish to vote you must do so now. If you are under 18 please refer to the 16 to 18 year olds page.

Applications to register to vote at Community Council elections made after 12 August 2010 will be administered by the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections). Please complete a Community Council Electoral Registration Application Form (54 KB PDF) and send it to the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections), Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AN.

The closing date for applications to register to vote at the 2010 Community Council Elections is 5.00 pm on Monday 27 September 2010.

Please note that completion of the Community Council Electoral Register Application Form allows you to register to vote at Community Council elections only. If you wish further information on registering to vote at other elections please contact the Electoral Registration Officer on 01307 462416.
