Register To Vote

To be able to vote in this year's European Parliament Election your name must be on the Register of Electors and you must be 18 years or over on the day of the election.

To be entered onto the register you must be a British, Irish or Commonwealth citizen.

Citizens of European Union member states wishing to register as European Parliament electors must complete a separate application accompanied by a declaration, which states that they will only vote in the UK at any European Parliament Election held during the 12 month period of the validity of the declaration.

European Union citizens may only vote once and only in one member state at a European Parliament Election.

The last date to apply to be registered to vote for the 2009 election is Tuesday 19 May 2009.
