Brechin Library holds a collection of books and ephemera highlighting all aspects of Brechin past and present. Many other areas of Angus are also represented. There is a microfilm viewer, microfiche reader and a photocopier for public use.

Maps
Brechin Library holds a small collection of maps, mainly Ordnance Survey. Also included are Roy’s Military Survey 1747-55, John Wood’s 1822 map of Brechin, Pont and Gordon’s maps of Angus and a plan showing the proposed railway line between Forfar and Brechin.
