Post-publication: the published Angus Housing Land Audit 2012 contains an error regarding the number of completed homes on site ACC042a (Woodside/Pitskelly). This affects the recorded capacity of this site, which should read 59 units as opposed to 54 (please see revised table: Sites Completed Between April 2011 and April 2012 (50 KB PDF) Opens in a new window
). Furthermore, this change affects the number of completions recorded in the 2012 audit (please see revised table: Section 5 (50 KB PDF) Opens in a new window
). Completions data in the published audit should be increased by five units for Carnoustie, so that the total number of completions on sites of five or more is 144 units across Angus for the period ending April 2012. The appropriate amendments will be included in the Angus Housing Land Audit 2013.
Angus Council has prepared its annual Audit of Housing Land detailing those sites with a capacity of five or more houses which contribute to the available supply of land for housebuilding within Angus.
The Angus Housing Land Audit 2012 is intended to provide a factual statement of land supply within Angus and is a result of a survey undertaken in April 2012. A draft of the housing land audit was subject to consultation with the Scottish Government, Scottish Water, Homes for Scotland and developers/landowners during summer 2012. A number of changes were made to the draft audit as a result of consultation, as explained in Section 3 of the finalised document.
The audit will be an important source of information for the monitoring of the TAYplan, approved by Scottish Ministers on 8 June 2012. It will also be used to inform the Proposed Angus Local Development Plan due to be published in summer 2013. The audit gives details of the available land supply in each of the four Angus Housing Market Areas.
Accompanying the Audit is a schedule of maps for each of the sites detailed in the tables. Individual maps of sites in Angus can be viewed by clicking on the Site Reference Numbers (Maps are in PDF format and are 50 to 500 KB in size.)
