Finding and borrowing books
Sorry, our catalogue is offline at the moment while we undertake a major upgrade to our library management system. Please contact your local library if you wish to renew any items in the meantime. For more information on the new system visit our news page.
There is no charge for borrowing books and audio books, but you must have your library card with you.
You can have up to 12 items out on loan. The loan period for books and audio books is 28 days.
You can renew items in person, by phone, by email or online. You will need your library membership card and PIN to renew items online.
After two renewals, you must bring items in to a library to request they be re-issued.
To find out if we hold a book, check our online library catalogue. You can also use the catalogue to place reservations for items.
If you want a particular book that you can't find in the library, we’ll try to get it for you. Requests for items in our libraries are free. A charge applies for inter-library loans outwith Angus.
Our monthly future fiction list features new titles on order for our libraries, often before publication. You can place your reservations online to beat the queue.
If you are a member of a reading group or book group, we have compiled a list of titles that are available in multiple copies within Angus libraries.
