Gym Miles Launch
Gym Miles is a loyalty system for existing and future bACTIVE members.
How to Join?
- Log onto www.gymmiles.net and click on the register now button.
- Choose the standard or premium programme.
- You will receive an email confirming your registration and your account will be activated within 48 hours.
- You will then view Gym Miles and cash points balances online when you log into the members account page.
- Usage will be logged from 1st December 2010.
Workings of the system:
- In basic terms Gym Miles rewards members for using Angus Leisure's facilities.
- Gym Miles rewards members for every visit and a record of the report is sent to Gym Miles once a month.
- A member is credited for each visit with10 Gym Miles.
- A Gym mile has no cash value however each Gym mile is worth 50 cash points.
- Gym miles are also used to gain access to discounts on the Gym miles premium zone.
- Cash points can be redeemed online with partners and are worth £0.01p each.
- One Gym mile is worth 50 cash points and one Cash point is worth £0.01p when redeemed as a cash reward.
- Members will receive a cheque for £25.00 for every 2500 cash points that they redeem.
- To redeem cash points members must first log in to the members area then choose a category from the side bar menu, for example Gym Wear and select a partner for example Nike and hit the spend my points button.
- Members will be automatically directed to the Nike store site. Points will be redeemed automatically each time they make a purchase on the Nike Store website and their account will be credited with 0.01p for each point they redeem. The amount of cash points redeemed per spend is displayed on each partner link.

How do I convert Cash points into cash, how will I be paid?
Your Gym miles are automatically converted into cash points ready for you to redeem online. One Gym mile is worth 50 cash points and one Cash point is worth £0.01p when redeemed as a cash reward. You will receive a cheque for £25.00 for every 2500 cash points that you redeem.
How do I spend my points?
To redeem cash points you must first log in to the members area. Please note that your cash points are redeemed automatically when you transact online with any of our cash point partners.
There is no cash points facility visible on our partners web sites as all transactions are recorded and processed separately as follows:
- You pay for an item in the normal way at check out using a credit/debit card. All transactions are recorded and any points redeemed are converted into cash and credited to your cash rewards balance.
- The number of cash points redeemed and the balance of your cash rewards account will be updated at the end of each month and will be displayed along with your cash points redeemed total.
What is the difference between Gym miles standard and Gym miles Premium?
Standard members have access to selected discounts as well as the Cash points area and earn 10 Gym miles per visit.
Premium members have full access to all zones and an additional 250 retail partners in the Premium zone and earn 20 Gym miles per visit.
How can I upgrade to Gym miles Premium, how much does it cost?
There are several buttons on the site to help you upgrade your account, click on one and follow the instructions, payment is £12.00 for a one year subscription and payment is made using Google Checkout (if you are not already registered with Google Checkout you will need to register with them).
How do shopping vouchers work?
You can buy shopping vouchers online and these are posted out to you. If for instance a top Supermarket is offering 5% discount you will only pay £95.00 for every £100.00 worth you order. The vouchers work like cash in store so you have an extra £5.00 to spend and will also access any special offers they maybe running, if there is a petrol station at the supermarket the vouchers can be used there too!
I get cash back from my credit/debit card provider will I still get that?
Yes you will, we recommend you do this however to avoid card charges ensure you pay the full balance on time to avoid charges.
Will I get discounts in store if I present my membership card?
No you need to use vouchers when shopping in store.
