Monikie and Crombie
Monikie Angling Club provides Fly Fishing for stocked Brown and Rainbow Trout within Monikie and Crombie Country Parks. The Club has 21 boats to let for both members of Monikie Angling Club and visitors.
In Monikie Country Park fishing is available on Island Pond for both brown and rainbow trout. On North Pond the fishing is for rainbow trout only whilst the fishing at Crombie Country Park is for brown trout only.
Last season fish from Island Pond averaged 1lb 15ozs., North Pond averaged 2lb 2ozs. The largest fish was caught by a visitor and weighed 5lb 12ozs. At Crombie the average was 1lb 3oz.
The fishing season starts on 18th March 2009 (17th March 2010) at Monikie and runs from 18th March (17th March 2010) to 6th October 2009 at Crombie. The cost of boat hire for a 12 fish limit is as follows:
- £19.00 per session one or two OAP members
- £22.00 per session one or two members
- £23.00 per session for a member and a guest
- £25.00 per session for club booking
- £31.00 per session for one or two visitors
- £15.00 per session for one member (6 fish limit)
- £20.00 per session for one visitor (6 fish limit)
Bookings can only be made by telephoning the Duty Bailiff. The telephone is manned throughout the fishing season at the following times:
- 10.00 until 10.30am
- 1.00 until 1.30pm
- 5.30 until 6.30pm

Forfar Loch
Canmore Angling Club provides fly fishing on Forfar Loch for Brown Trout.
