- 1.30pm - 4.30pm Every Wednesday during school holidays.
Recently re-branded from the well established Mighty Oaks, this club now focuses on learning about the natural environment whilst experiencing the role of the Countryside Ranger. This is done with a very hands-on approach with the children taking much more responsibility for their own programme, within the confines of the Country Park Management Plan.
This year so far: Children have recently completed a Visitor Centre garden extension entitled 'Hospital Bed and Open all Hours' where after being given the brief they chose the plants, and did much of the physical work of digging and planting up the border. This project has been a great success, with visitors to the country park admiring the children's very hard work.
PS The children were runners up in the CSV Action Young Persons Award. Well Done to All!
New members are always welcome but we recommend you register your interest.
FREE.
