- Angus Club Excellence (ACE)
The Angus Club Excellence Awards (ACE) is a club accreditation scheme co-ordinated by Angus Council to allow the public to recognise safe, effective and child-friendly club environments.
The ACE award has three stages to allow the smaller clubs of Angus to work up through the levels with the aim of achieving the highest standard from Bronze (660 KB PDF)
through Silver (220 KB PDF)
and onto Gold (400 KB PDF)
.
The process is very simple and support and resources are available through Angus Council Sports Development Team to help all clubs through all aspects of the scheme.
For more information on the ACE awards and the criteria for each of the three levels please see the introduction form (610 KB PDF)
.
All clubs interested in achieving ACE club status can complete and return the self assessment form (300 KB PDF)
and then a joint decision is made between the club and the Development Officer to agree which level of award that the club should initially aim to achieve.
All coaches from ACE clubs should be members of the Angus Coaches Complimentary Support Scheme (ACCESS). This scheme is designed to allow registered coaches free access to all Angus leisure facilities during coaching sessions with their clubs and also offer members grant aid assistance for National Governing Body qualifications.
