Angus Food warning
ANGUS Council's environmental and consumer protection department has issued a food warning about a brand of Tahini which contains the Salmonella bug.
This product is sold in 16kg catering tins and is described on the label as Tahini 100% Ground Hulled Sesame Seeds and is manufactured in the Lebanon by SH Yaman and Sons.
The importer of this product has undertaken a trade withdrawal from caterers that have been supplied by them.
However, there is the possibility that affected product may still be held by caterers and anyone holding stocks of this product is advised to destroy them immediately.
