Angus Joint Health Improvement Plan
The draft Angus Joint Health Improvement Plan for 2004/06 was considered by Angus Council’s Social Work & Health Committee on Tuesday (5 October 2004)
The two-year plan outlines the current and planned action to address health improvement issues in Angus.
The plan has been developed under the umbrella of community planning, with public sector agencies working together to plan and deliver improved services. Angus Council and NHS Tayside have a shared commitment to work together to plan and deliver a range of joint services in relation to health improvement.
The joint health improvement plan sets out the priority themes for action for 2004/06, these are:
- Nutrition and Oral/Dental Health
- Smoking and Tobacco
- Drugs and Alcohol
- Sexual Health and Wellbeing
- Mental Wellbeing
- Domestic Abuse
- Homelessness
- Strengthening Communities
Throughout October the council along with NHS Tayside, Angus LHCC, local community councils and the voluntary sector are being formally consulted on the draft plan.
