Angus Inter Secondary School Football
Last week saw two Angus Inter-School Secondary Football events take place in Monifieth and Arbroath.
On Wednesday teams from Arbroath Academy, Arbroath High, Carnoustie High, Forfar Academy and Monifieth High congregated at Monifieth High School for The S3 11-a-side festival. Despite the cold and windy conditions there was some good football played in a great spirit.
The following day teams from Forfar Academy, Arbroath High, Arbroath Academy, Brechin High and Carnoustie High came together on the all weather pitch at Arbroath High School for the S1 7-a-side festival. Again condition were cold and windy but some excellent football was played, as the team competed on 20 minute matches on a round robin basis.
These events were organised by the Angus Active Schools team with the support of the Sports Development Team. The next event sees S2 teams come together at Brechin High School in February.
