Out Of School Clubs Enjoy Fun Day At Grange Primary

Out of school clubs from all over Angus gathered for a day of celebration at Grange Primary School in Monifieth on Wednesday, 16 July.

Hundreds of children are spending their summer enjoying a variety of activities at out of school clubs which are going from strength to strength in the county.

There are now 22 out of school clubs in Angus, offering a safe environment for children to experience a range of active, stimulating and restful activities before and after school, and during holidays.

The clubs in Angus are operated as private enterprises or parent-led voluntary management committees, and all are supported by Angus Council through the work of Angus Childcare Partnership.

To publicise the work of the out of school care network, two new leaflets have been produced by the partnership.

One gives parents a wide range of information on the clubs in Angus, how they operate and what they offer, while the other offers people thinking about a career in the out of school care sector information on topics such as qualifications and training.

The leaflets have been distributed to a variety of locations in Angus, including council offices and doctors’ surgeries, and are also available via ACCESSLine on 08452 777 778.
