Angus Youth Literacy Project Screens Film
The Angus Youth Literacy project has just completed a short film entitled Crash Control - RS. The film Crash Control - RS lasts six and a half minutes and was made by four young people from the project over a ten week period in Arbroath. Part of the filming was done at the town’s OBs café, where there was a special screening of the film on Monday, 21 July.
The film mixed footage from a computer game with real footage of a Ferrari - supplied by Fisken’s of Forfar - and was designed to give a positive road safety message to young drivers. The film project was funded by a grant from the Scottish Government’s Learning Connections team, as part of their ICT and literacy initiative. It is likely that the film may be placed on the Scottish Government’s website for adult literacy tutors. Other films may be made in the future by members of the group.
