The Meffan's Christmas Cracker
The Meffan's Christmas Show is in full swing and visitors are flocking to see the wide variety of artworks on show.
The exhibition, a regular feature on the artistic calendar in Angus, attracts work from talented artists from the across the country and is always popular with visitors.
The official judging took place before the show opened but, just for fun, visitors to the show have been asked to cast their votes for their favourite artwork.
The votes have now been counted and the artwork that received the most votes is Sam and Grace at Achnahaird Beach, an oil painting by amateur artist Maggie T Ferrie from Dundee.
As well as winning a personal prize, Maggie was able to nominate Save the Children to receive a donation of £100.
In addition, all the voting papers were put into a draw and the first out of the hat, Angela McRobbie from Montrose, will also receive a prize.
The exhibition continues until 3 January, so there is plenty of time to drop in and see the exhibition and, as all the artworks are for sale, maybe do some last minute Christmas shopping.
The Meffan, 20 West High Street, Forfar, is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, admission is free.
