Temporary Change To Montrose Bus Services

From Monday 5 July Newhame Road in Montrose will be closed at its junction with North Esk Road for four weeks to allow a private contractor to carry out essential sewage connection work.

This work will effect some local bus services, with Services 8, 9, 47 & 52 serving Newhame Road in one direction only, turning at the junction of Langley Avenue and returning to Coronation Avenue in the reverse direction. Individual services will run as follows:

MW Nicoll Services 8 & 9
Service 8 buses to Montrose town centre will serve Borrowfield. However Service 9 buses from Montrose town centre will be unable to serve Newhame Road, diverting via North Esk Road and Coronation Avenue. Passengers for Borrowfield using Service 9 should either alight on North Esk Road or Victoria Bridge or use alternative Services.

Stagecoach Strathtay Service 47
Only Service 47 buses from Montrose town centre will serve Borrowfield. Passengers wishing to travel into Montrose Town Centre on this service should either catch this bus and travel to the town centre via Hillside or catch the bus at the stops on Victoria Bridge or Northesk Road.

JP Minicoaches Service 52
Only Service 52 buses to Montrose town centre will serve Borrowfield. Passengers from Montrose town centre may, however, remain on the bus beyond Forties Road or Charleston Place to Borrowfield. Departure times from Borrowfield to Montrose town centre are unchanged.

A timetable reflecting these temporary changes is available from Montrose Library, the ACCESS office and on board Service 8, 9, 47 and 52 buses.
