Notices Of Election To The Scottish Parliament Published

Angus Council today, Thursday 17 March, publishes notices of election for the forthcoming Scottish Parliamentary Election and notices of referendum for the referendum on the voting system for the UK parliamentary elections. Both elections will be held on Thursday 5 May.

The notices of election will also be available in council offices and on the council's website.

Candidates have until 4.00pm on Tuesday 29 March to submit nomination papers.

Angus Council has set up a website containing information on the forthcoming Scottish Parliamentary Elections, to be found at www.angus.gov.uk/elections. The site contains a range of information on registering to vote, on proxy and postal voting and supplies links to websites containing further information.

The website will also list the names of candidates for the constituencies of Angus North and Mearns and Angus South once nominations close on 29 March.
