WH Brown - Impact on Angus Construction Projects
Commenting on the demise of local construction company WH Brown, Angus Depute Provost Alex King said: "WH Brown has been on the construction scene in this area for many years so its closure and the resultant loss of jobs is a matter of great regret."
Councillor King, who is also the council's property services and finance spokesperson, confirmed that the company had been due to start work on a maintenance project for the council, saying: "Brown's had been awarded the roofing contract for our Bruce House building in Arbroath but had not started work. We are now looking at awarding the contract to another company."
