New Roadway Set To Open At Big Tree Bends
Drivers on the A92 between Montrose and Arbroath are soon to benefit from the newly-completed stretch of road at Big Tree Bends, due to open to traffic on or around Wednesday 17 October.
The project cost around £2.25 million and the new road has a much improved alignment through an area which has seen a number of serious, including fatal, accidents over the last few years. Work began in February and should be substantially completed by the end of October, within the contract period, despite the poor weather this summer.
Temporary traffic management will remain at both ends of the new road until such time as works are mostly completed.
