Bid to Make Kirriemuir a Fairtrade Town
A public meeting is to be held in Kirriemuir on Wednesday 31 October to see if there is an interest to achieve Fairtrade status for the town. The meeting will be held from 6pm in the Lesser Hall of Kirriemuir Town Hall.
The meeting, organised by Angus Council community planning team, will hear from guest speakers sharing their knowledge of Fairtrade and its principles; the application procedure for towns and the experience of communities, schools and churches which have been involved in the process of achieving Fairtrade status, as well as the next steps needed for Kirriemuir.
