Consultation For Arbroath Primary Schools

The final two consultation workshops on the options for improving Arbroath’s primary school estate took place last week.

Since the launch of the consultation in September five workshops have taken place, giving everyone in the local community the opportunity to find out more about the three broad options for the future of the town's 10 primary school buildings.

Angus Council’s education spokesperson councillor Sheena Welsh thanked people for their participation saying: “The council is grateful to the parents and members of the local communities who came along to the five workshops; they were very productive sessions.

“The consultation remains open until Friday 2 November and I would encourage anyone interested in the development of the burgh’s primaries to take the opportunity to give us their views, online, by letter or on Facebook and Twitter.”

The council is seeking feedback on three broad options: the maintenance and repairs to all schools; a combination of maintenance and repairs & refurbishment; a combination of new build/refurbishment & maintenance and repairs.
