Citizen's Panel Deadline

The deadline for returns for the second Angus Citizen's Panel survey is fast approaching.

The 1200 panel members have until Friday to return their survey forms, which this time seek the panel's views on a range of environmental and transportation issues.

The first survey revealed that the environmental services provided by the council are valued by citizens, particularly services such as recycling, refuse collection, and special collections. However some concerns were also expressed about the county's important roads network.

As both of these areas impact on the Angus environment in terms of how people get around, the pollution caused and how waste is managed, the second survey focuses on environmental issues.

The Angus Citizen's Panel comprises of around 1,200 citizens, drawn from an initial mailing to 10,000 residents. Those currently serving on the panel represent, as far as possible, all sections of the community.

The intention is to survey panel members on a variety of topics, which affect citizens in the county. The information given is treated in the strictest confidence and the panel's responses taken into account when decisions about services are being made.
