Six Star Achievers
Six stars of Angus were recognised as the best of Angus' Achievers last night (30 November 2001).
The six winners of the 2001 Angus Achievers Awards were announced at the glittering St Andrews Night award ceremony, which was presided over by guest presenter Heather Reid.
The awards audience of around 200, sponsors, finalists and guests at the Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel recognised and celebrated an impressive wealth of Angus Achievement.
The winners are :-

The Achievers Awards are presented by the Angus Ahead Campaign to promote the talents and accomplishments of the county. This year, the third year of the awards, there were 142 entries, which were narrowed down to just 19 finalists by the independent judging panels.
The winners of the six 2001 awards each received a specially commissioned award and a cash prize of £500 (In Aspiring Youth the winner received £300 and the two highly commended finalists each received £100).
