Congratulations To New Chamber Chief Executive
Angus Council leader Rob Murray has congratulated Merv Rolfe on his appointment as Chief Executive of Dundee and Tayside Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Speaking at the Council’s Policy & Resources Committee (Tuesday 4 December) Councillor Murray said:
"On behalf of Angus Council I congratulate Mr Rolfe on his appointment to this challenging role. The chamber of commerce is an important vehicle in the promotion and sustainability of this area. I am confident that Mr Rolfe's considerable experience as a city councillor will stand him in excellent stead as he undertakes this broader regional remit.
"We will be seeking an early meeting with him to discuss a number of issues. At that stage will be looking for some clarification and reassurance on how he intends to balance his duties as a champion for the region with those as a city councillor."
