Recycling Raises The Spirits
Angus Council has said cheers to licensed premises in the county who have been recycling aluminium cans.
Representatives from the authority have visited Brechin City Football Club and Busby's bar in Montrose, to give them Christmas hampers as a thank you for collecting and recycling the largest amount of aluminium cans in Angus this year.
Both premises have actively reduced their waste and also assisted Angus Council with its waste minimisation and recycling programme.
This year the Angus Community Recycling Partnership team has provided regular free service uplifts of drink cans from 58 pubs and clubs throughout Angus with 7.5tonnes being collected and recycled, compared to 3.75T last year.
The hampers were donated by ALUPRO ( Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation Ltd).
