Change To Council Tax Collection Dates
Council Tax payers in Angus are reminded that collection arrangements have changed .
The 2002/03 bills are being issued later this week with the first installment due in April this year rather than May.
There is no change to the number of payments to be made each financial year but the 10 monthly payments will now be collected from April to January, instead of May to February.
The change in collection arrangements brings Angus in line with other Scottish authorities and with councils in England and Wales, who have operated the system for a number of years.
It is anticipated that the change will bring significant savings to the council which in turn will benefit council tax payers by keeping expenditure as low as possible.
