Welfare Rights Pack Introduced
Angus Council’s welfare rights team has compiled a pack to give councillors a guide to the most common welfare benefits.
Social work convener Glennis Middleton said the new guide gave local councillors a concise and reliable guide to benefits.
"This will be very useful to elected members as we are often approached by constituents about issues relating to welfare benefits.
"The pack contains information on the most common benefits available and provides a direct referral system for members to pass on complex and detailed enquiries. This will help us to improve the service we can give to constituents and will also speed up the referral process."
