Special Meeting Will Consider Mast Applications
A special meeting of Angus Council’s development control committee next Tuesday (25 November), will consider planning applications for a number of new masts and extensions to existing telecommunications masts as part of the 02 Airwave project for the emergency services.
The new airwave system which is proposed as part of these applications, is part of a Government plan aimed at having one compatible national police radio system across the country.
Another common name which has been associated with this project is TETRA. TETRA refers to the technology used to operate this system.
The planning applications, which are for sites across Angus, will be considered by a special meeting of the Development Control Committee on Tuesday 25 November at 6pm, to be held at Forfar Academy. The meeting is open to members of the public.
