Romance In The Angus Air

Romantically inclined visitors can get in the right frame of mind for Valentine's Day at Angus museums.

On Saturday14 February at the Signal Tower Museum in Arbroath, visitors are invited to drop-in and make their loved ones a Valentine's picture frame to cherish.

Advance booking is not required, just drop in to Arbroath Museum on Saturday anytime between 11am and 3 pm.

This year is leap year, which means that on the 29 February, the tradition that men propose marriage to women is overturned.

On the theme of romance and matrimony, the museum has on display a beautiful 1970s wedding dress, bringing back memories of the style and fashions of a quarter of a century ago.

At Kirriemuir Gateway to the Glens Museum, visitors can take inspiration for their Valentine's Cards from the town's romantic coat of arms.

At the Kirrie Hearts and Coronets Day on February 14, visitors can drop in between 11am and 3pm to make a valentine's card.

Both events are free, but if you are a wee kid, take a big kid or adult along too.
