Broadband Bus Out And About In Angus
A broadband bus was out and about in rural Angus this week hoping to increase broadband registration levels in the county.
The Scottish Enterprise Tayside mobile demonstration centre visited Glamis, Letham, Muirhead and Newtyle, where trigger levels are at 63%, 36%, 47% and 32% respectively.
However it is hoped that these figures will increase following the mobile centre’s tour.
Councillor David Selfridge who went along to visit the MDC while it was stationed at Muirhead said of the initiative: “There is no doubt that many of these trigger levels are challenging to meet. However broadband for Angus is important to meet the growing needs of the community and local business. I hope that the visit of the mobile demonstration centre to these communities today will encourage people to register for broadband in their area.”
Over the last year many Angus areas have received broadband including Forfar, Brechin and Montrose.
