Independent Advocacy Plan
The new three-year Independent Advocacy (Tayside) Plan sets out how the people in Angus who most need advocacy provision, can access it and how the service will be funded.
Social Work & Health convener Glennis Middleton said: "The council is committed to the provision of advocacy services and has been working with colleagues in the health services to develop and fund the delivery of advocacy provision in Angus. This three-year plan has been developed by a multi-agency Tayside group and confirms the commitment of Social Work and Health to the provision of advocacy services for vulnerable people in Angus. Our intention now is to develop and evaluate the provision on a regular basis with planning partners and through the joint planning process."
Angus Council's Social Work & Health Committee considered the plan on 3 June 2004.
