The Reading Rollercoaster
Having difficulty finding a good read this summer? Join the Reading Rollercoaster at your local library!
Angus primary children are being invited to take part in The Reading Rollercoaster, an exciting summer reading scheme running from the 1 July to the 16 August.
The Reading Rollercoaster is a national reading challenge promoted by the Reading Agency and sponsored by Books for Libraries and leading children's publishers with the aim of encouraging reading.
The rollercoaster scheme is a reading challenge with the children collecting cards, six in all, for reading at least six books from a recommended selection. All children completing the challenge will get a certificate and a medal at a ceremony in their local library.
Each of Angus' libraries will be sending out invitations through schools inviting children to join in the fun which will include word games, colouring sheets and the opportunity to win a book token for providing one for the best book reviews.
