Foster Families at Flamingoland
Flamingoland was the exotic sounding destination for 79 children and foster carers from Angus during the Easter break.
The foster families enjoyed the week long trip to the North Yorkshire theme park and zoo complex, the fundraising for which was done by Angus Foster Care Association and Angus's Adoption and Long Term Fostering Self Help Group. The children had an unforgettable holiday and pass on their thanks to all who helped fundraise for them.
As well as making full use of the on site facilities and entertainment the children and their foster carers also visited Eden Camp and a modern history museum during their stay and enjoyed a day in York visiting York Minister and York Dungeons.
Foster carers look after 97% of the children and young people in Angus who cannot live with their own families, making a significant and important contribution to lives of those they care for.
