Have Your Say on Angus Park Life

ANGUS residents are being asked for their views on preserving and enhancing parks and green spaces in the county.

The authority has launched a major consultation project as part of its development of a strategy and action plan for the many beautiful open spaces in the county.

Joy Mowatt Convener of Environmental and Leisure Services launched the consultation at the recently renovated Brechin Bandstand along with musicians from Brechin High School at 2pm on Wednesday 14 December.

Councillor Mowatt said: "I am delighted to be able to launch our consultation with the young people of Brechin High School. This highlights the fact that our parks are here for future generations and is vital to keep them alive with events and facilities which the community want."

If you would like to have your say on the Parks Strategy, copies of the questionnaire are available from ACCESS Line on 08452 777 778, or the council's website www.angus.gov.uk/hys - click current consultations and download a copy.

Councillor Mowatt added: "Please get a copy of the questionnaire and let the council know what you think about our parks and open spaces. Whether it's direct answers to the questions, or other comments which relate to parks and open spaces in general, we want to know what local people have to say.

"It is important to the future of Angus that people reflect on the importance of parks and open spaces to them - so if you appreciate your green areas please respond to the questionnaire."
