Arbroath Common Good Public Consultation
A public consultation has been launched by Angus Council following a review of common good properties in Arbroath.
The review resulted in a number of recommendations relating to seven properties in the burgh, and whether or not they should be classified as common good.
Local people are now being asked for their feedback on the findings, and for any evidence which would assist the council in determining the status of any assets identified in the review.
In particular, the council is interested in any evidence which proves that Arbroath library should not be classified as part of the Arbroath Common Good, as the council's review findings suggest.
Representations can be made in writing to Head of Law and Administration, Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AN, email lawadmin@angus.gov.uk
Alternatively visit the Have Your Say section of the council's website at and complete the online document.
Copies of all the title deeds relating to those assets identified in the review are available on Have Your Say and in Arbroath Library and ACCESS Office.
The closing date for the consultation is Saturday 31 December 2011. However this date may be extended if required.
