Older People in Angus

These pages have recently been established to give the older population of Angus access to a wide range of useful information about services and events that are available locally. These are provided by Angus Council and by the Health Service and also by local Voluntary Organisations.

We have also introduced a means of contacting us direct through our new email address:

We hope that you will use this to express your views and comments on anything which may be of particular interest to you.

These pages will give additional links to existing web sites provided by health and social work services in both Angus and Tayside and in doing so we hope to provide you with a wealth of useful information which will improve your experience of everyday living in Angus.

We recognise that the Internet provides us with the opportunity to make links with and be contacted by far more people than we could previously have hoped, and in the early stages we will be working closely with colleagues in "Angus Gold" who have established expertise in this field.

We are confident that this marks the start of an exciting era of improved communications between those that organise and provide services for older people and those who use them and that improved access to information will be the key factor to achieving this.

Of course, we need you to tell us what you would like to see appearing on these pages: what kind of information you need and what would interest you.

So, get in touch with us at olderpeople@angus.gov.uk. We want to hear from you!
