Single Outcome Agreement
Single Outcome Agreements are agreements between the Scottish Government and each community planning partnership which set out how each will work in the future towards improving national outcomes for local people in a way that reflects local circumstances and priorities.
The second Angus Single Outcome Agreement 2009-12 (SOA) (500 KB PDF) was developed following extensive consultation within the Angus Community Planning Partnership in order to reflect local priorities. It replaced the first Angus SOA for 2008/09 (375 KB PDF).
In the Angus SOA, outcomes are expressed as a long term vision, with intermediate outcomes held within Thematic Group Plans for each of eight Thematic Partnership Groups. These groups range from the Angus Economic Development Partnership to the Angus Rural and Environment Partnership. The Angus Community Planning Partnership manages the Single Outcome Agreement.
To further improve the links between service actions and the Angus SOA, since December 2008, Angus Council committee reports, with some exceptions, have been required to note the SOA outcomes that they contribute to.
Further information on the Single Outcome Agreement and Community Planning Partnership performance can be found in SOA committee reports 2010, 2009 and 2008 and in a number of pages on the Angus Community Planning web site. The Scottish Government web site also has a performance reporting page that sets out progress against the fifteen National Outcomes that all SOAs are aligned with.
