What are the opening hours of the Angus Archives?
The Angus Archives are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am to 4pm.
The Archive closes for all Angus Council public holidays.
Where can I discover more about the archives held by Angus Archives?
Visit the Angus Council local history pages for listings of personal, business, and organisation collections held. Full catalogues of burgh and County Council records and lists of transcripts and indexes are available in the Angus Archives search room.
Many catalogues are available electronically at www.angus.gov.uk/history/archives/resources/
Angus Council's Burial Records are now available at www.deceasedonline.com.
Can the Angus Archives carry out family history research for me?
Yes. If you cannot visit the Archive, or are unable to conduct the research yourself, a research service is offered which is charged at £20 per hour plus VAT. Each query also incurs an administration charge of £1.50.
