The Angus Council Roads Division's Lighting Section maintains approximately 20,853 street lights and 1,311 illuminated signs throughout Angus.

How do I report street lights that are out of order?
During office hours contact the Roads Division either by calling CLARENCE (Customer Lighting And Roads ENquiry CEntre) free-phone 0800 23 23 23 or by the ACCESSLine 08452 777 778.
Outwith office hours, please leave a message on either the CLARENCE or ACCESSLine answering service.
In the case of reporting an emergency e.g. exposed street lamp wires or a lamp post which has been hit by a car, please use the EMERGENCY phone number 07702 167879.
When reporting faulty street lighting please ensure that you have the following information:-
- nature of fault (street light is out, on or off at the wrong times, exposed wires)
- quantity of faulty street lights
- location of faulty street lights
- the unique identification number which is attached to the lighting column/sign post, as this greatly assists the council's lighting maintenance service.
Please note that SINGLE dark lamps should be reported the following day during office hours.
