The Tree Officer within Neighbourhood Services, tel: 01307 473844, can give technical advice on tree related matters. The day to day care of trees in Angus Council managed/owned parks, woodlands, cemeteries, open spaces and Angus Millennium Forest are within his remit.
However, the Planning & Transport Division is the first point of contact in relation to indicative forestry strategies and trees that may be protected under the following:
- Tree Preservation Orders
- trees within Conservation Areas
- trees within Development Sites
- trees protected by conditions on Planning Consents
Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and trees in Conservation Areas are protected. Work that may affect these trees requires written permission from:
