Assisted collections

An assisted collection (sometimes called a wheelout) is where the bin collection crew take out and return a bin from within the grounds of your property.

You may be eligible if you are having trouble putting your bins out for collection due to age or a medical condition, and there is no able-bodied person in your household who can put the bins out for you.

We may need to carry out an assessment to make sure we can safely wheel the bin to the kerbside. If we can't we may provide you with sacks instead.

Assisted collections are also available for food waste caddies, however, you must make sure your caddy is clearly visible to the collection crew from the kerbside.

To arrange an assisted collection contact us using our enquiry form.

Assisted collections are reviewed every two years. Please tell us if your circumstances change in the meantime and you no longer require the service.
